
Pat Whitfield
Pat has been an educator for more than 50 years, beginning as an elementary teacher then a college professor, a dean, and an educational consultant in failing schools in several states, and on the Navajo Reservation. She is the co-author of a text on Indian education. She began her interest in DEI as a member of a Sister City Committee in southern California with 2 Sister Cities in Mexico.
Throughout the years she has taught multicultural education, English as a Second Language, and citizenship classes. These commitments have kept her active in the field of diversity. She was a member of Wenatchee’s Diversity Council until it closed and active in Our Valley Our Future before joining NCWEA. This organization is a vital element in our region and it is a joy to be a part of its making a difference in our community.
